Brett and Diana's Wedding

***Important Information!***

Since setting our date over a year ago, the town of Bellefonte moved its calendar around, and our date is now sharing the day with the Bellefonte Arts and Crafts Fair.  The church has said that they will hold the lot for us, but parking is going to be a little tight if that lot fills up.  Since it will be a Saturday, street parking will be free; don't worry about the meters.

After the ceremony, feel free to walk around the fair and see the sights before you head off to the reception.

Hotel Information

There will not be rooms blocked out at the location of the reception for guests of this particular wedding.  If you need lodging for the night of the reception or for that weekend, please be sure to make reservations well in advance.  Despite being a summer date, that weekend is also the same as summer graduation for Penn State.

If you need hotel accomdations, there are many options available.  After all, this is Lion Country. Toftrees itself has 102 hotel rooms to choose from, if you'd rather walk straight from the reception up to your hotel room.  If you plan on doing this, I caution you to check reviews of their hotel facilities here, seeing as the hotel portion of the resort IS older:

*****UPDATE*******
As of March 2010, Toftrees has done a renovation of their hotel and resort area.
If you don't need to worry about 'overindulging' at the reception, there are plenty of other hotel options for you located only a mile or two from the reception site.  Here are a few links to other options:

Hope this helps.  Again, be sure to make your reservations well in advance.

What to do:  For the out of town guest

Diana and Brett's hometown of Bellefonte is a small Victorian town in the center of Pennsylvania, about 15 minutes away from Penn State University (and most hotels/ the reception site). It’s a four-hour drive from New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.; three hours from Pittsburgh; and two hours from Harrisburg.

What to do?

While you’re in State College, take some time to hike around Penn State’s 5,500-acre campus. Walk up the elm-lined path toward Old Main, check out the Nittany Lion statue, stop by the Palmer Art Museum, and get some ice cream at the Berkey Creamery. Oh, and there’s always Beaver Stadium, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Take a walk around Bellefonte. There are some great commercial and public buildings on Allegheny and High streets, and some lovely houses on Curtin and Linn streets. Feed the ducks and fish at Talleyrand Park. Have lunch or dinner at the Gamble Mill. As mentioned above, walk around the Bellefonte Arts and Crafts Fair!
